Turtle

Fishing with a jig, I felt that long awaited tap. I set the hook and brought up this beauty.

Catching turtles with artificial lures is a skill few possess. Anybody can catch fish with lures.

Black Trickworm unscented.

There is no safe way to pick up one of those Commons whatsoever.  I'm hoping you got your hook and worm back intact, and the turtle was left intact as well.  L

I once had a turtle hit a bait with treble hooks and he got hooked in both the top and bottom of his mouth. It took me about half an hour to get the hooks out, mainly because he kept pulling back into his shell. I had to play tug of war long enough to tire him out.

They're fish eaters and he was in my pond. He didn't survive the event.

Grab them by the back of the shell, they can't reach you. My grandpa use to noodle for them, yes he had all of his fingers still.

They're not that hard to unhook if you're careful.
