      Don't remember the exact model, either Penn 109 or 9M. Bass fished an entire year with it until I got a Abu Garcia  Ambassador 5000.

    My first baitcast reel was a Daiwa Millionaire 5B that I got from my dad back in 1978.  I had it on a 6'0" pistol grip Daiwa rod that was limber as a noodle.  I don't have the reel any longer, but I still have the rod.
