If you had this rod, what would you use it for the most?  What reel would you mate with it? 

I have the mossyback version of the rod.   a lews superduty reel is on it.  As it’s not as sensitive as your glx I use as a heavy jig, chatterbait & frog rod.  

The 4 power bcr's are stout.  Definitely a jig/pitchin' rod.  I'd pick up a 70 size reel and spool up some heavier fluorocarbon.

Stiff it is… I have an older aldebaran 50 and a Curado 70 MGL that I could pair with.  

Is it one of the older green blanks ?  It would make a good Scrounger head/ smaller swimbait rod.

It is.  I hadn’t thought of that.  I may tie on a D Walker 120 and give it a try.
