I like to tie loop knots on my jigs & crankbaits, but don’t know how to do it in braid. Mono is easy; just use surgeons loop. What do you do for braid?

The non-slip loop knot works fine with braid, I deviate only by using a few extra wraps, usually 6 or 7.

Something I do that I rarely see come up is that braid ties better in any application if you use your thumbnail to "rough up" the last foot or so in your line before tying, I do this by pinching the line between your thumb and index finger being sure to dig your nail into it and pull the line through, I usually do this around 10 times, it will remove some or at least loosen the abrasion protection coating most lines come with, it makes the line more pliable and allows it to grip itself better, keep in mind doing this reduces it's abrasion resistance a little.

I used to use Rapala Knots without issues.

Bimini Twist is the only loop knot I use with braid, and then only for salt water use.  I'm sure other loop knots will work fine as long as you don't expect them to hold over 75% of line strength.  Which most of the time that will be more than enough to land the biggest fish in the lake.

Could you show me the non-slip loop knot? I think I know what you mean, but I’m not sure. Thanks!

My experience with braid is that it's so limp it doesn't negatively affect my presentation, hence negating the need of a loop knot. Palomar all the way for me.

Why my just use crazy glue?

I guess it couldn’t hurt, but a well tied knot doesn’t need it and this extra step takes all of 10 seconds to do.

If I have to, I will use Rapala loop knot for my crappie jig and that only type lure I use loop knot for, these days. The other lures like crankbait or top water always come with split ring for easier tie knot no need for loop knot whatsoever, you can also replace the split ring with snap for even easier to tie knot. Nowadays especially on the water I don’t tie loop knot anymore and I can’t really tell if loop knot is that better than regular knot. Another thing that is also a myth and I don’t see any proof yet, the bigger the loop the less sensitivity of the line.
