St. Croix Sales

Featured Replies

First off, moderator's feel free to move this if it needs to be moved.

To anyone interested, I just got an email from St. Croix concerning upcoming sales.

Cyber Sale starts on 11/26/21 at 7:AM. It ends on 11/29/21 at 7:PM.

Holiday Sale (wish they had called it Christmas Sale, but I get it) starts on 12/03/21 at 7:AM. It ends on 12/15/21 at 7:PM.

Happy shopping to everyone.

Wish they would announce what they were actually putting on sale. Hopefully it's something good, but usually it's just their old discontinued models with extremely limited stock.

Have either of you heard anything about St. Croix and the company's health etc? I heard some random gossipy comment about them not doing well...just hoping that was some facebook buffoonery.

St. Croix is doing well - I don't trust rumors on FB. Check St. Croix's page for real info.

Yeah I think it was someone who just didnt like St. Croix rods...it was one one of the buy/sell/trade forums. Or it was just an anti-St. Croix person.

I bought a Legend Glass rod for $150 last year during their BF sale. They had a lot of their premium rods upwards of $100 off list price. Not saying that's what they'll have this time around, but don't count it out either.

I know they greatly downsized their fly rod offerings the last couple of years. They used to carry 6-8 different lines but now only have two, Imperial and Mojo.

I don’t think that’s an indication of them doing poorly, I read somewhere that the lions share of their business is in the spinning and casting arena.

Discontinued BassX, 20% off. Not bad for someone wanting an entry level rod or for something to give to their kid, but not what most would consider a Black Friday sale.

Since they appear to be a private company, they don't need to report financials and their financial health would be confidential information, so unless dealers/distributors/industry analyst, etc. can glean the information from publicly available sources, it's not helpful to speculate.
