$4 pine boards.  I know.

When you're ready to re-do it properly...hit up Rockler by Ridgedale. That's where I get all my specialty wood, including the Sandlewood I made mine from.

I even have another piece that I'm going to make an indoor, wall-mount rack from.

$4 pine boards.  I know.  There was an obvious split...but I started on the wrong end.  Had I just flipped the boards and used the other one for the tips this wouldn't have happened.  I can redo the whole board probably in 20 minutes, but I want it done and mounted as I have other stuff I need done too.

If this is a temporary solution as you mentioned in the opening post, then you did yourself very well.

Nice job man.

Yellow Wood glue would be fine, plenty strong since you have good surface to glue. If that bother you just cut the broken section out to salvage them. Nice job by the way.

I have some nice wood from there.  Just don't care about nice wood for a rack that is in 11.5' off the ground in my garage.

Yep.  That's the plan.  Will blast some brads in it to help the glue set.

I just use pvc pipe hangers .. nothing special but it works. Have a couple 4 rod Carriers that hang on wall as well .

Awesome. Unfortunately, I don’t think my garage is not big enough to do this. The door is in the way on one end. And the shelving is in the way on the other end.

Glued yesterday.  Going to cleanup with the router later today/tomorrow and contemplate hanging.

Mounted up in the garage.  Garage is obviously not sheetrocked yet, but at least my rods are up and out of the way.  Easy to reach from the boat in the summer when it is parked underneath.
