Bass being cold blooded their body temps equal the water temps they are acclimated to. Need to eat is reduced in cold water as the metabolism slows with body temps.

Water doesn’t equal air temps, the coldest water can get is 32 degrees when it freezes. Bass being Sunfish seek warmer water above 39 degrees, deeper water is warmer then surface water during cold air temps. Spring water is always between 50-60 degrees for example because the earth is a constant temps underground.

I've been bass fishing in central FL for a couple of weeks and found if I found a couple of degrees increase in water temperature there were fish.

Next week looks to warm up to the 70's.   That will most likely have bass pushing up.
