Shimano Exsence C3000MHG

Featured Replies

I'm considering picking up  the Shimano Exsence C3000MHG spinning reel, I have found some take down videos on you tube that highly recommend the reel. I'll be using it for for typical freshwater bass applications, wacky rig, neko, shakey head, weightless flukes, 1/4- 1/2oz blades and so on.  Anyone  have any on the water experience with the reel they can share? Likes, dislikes anything off putting?

I just bought one and it was delivered Friday so I haven't fished it yet but it's the smoothest reel I've ever handled personally.  I love the blacked out look and the drag feels really good and can really be dialed in how you want in small increments.  I have it on a used Conquest 842S I picked up a few months ago that I plan to use for neko, ned, and maybe small finesse swimbaits.

I have a couple and have been more than pleased with them. I also have a Stella and Twin Power on my primary spinning setups and would have been perfectly happy with 4 Exsence instead. Reel is butter smooth, casts incredibly well, and looks pretty great. No "cons" to speak of outside of the price.

I would love to have one but I replaced my stable with Vanfords last year. I'm afraid of risking my perception of the perfection I'm enjoying now. Case in point, I have an older Spirex that felt glass smooth to me many years ago that now feels like a coffee grinder compared to todays' technology.

I have one for few years now, Actually it is my only spinning reel, I paired that with Conquest 702 SJR.

The reel is working like first day, I am not using it that much except in winter I use that set up more often. But I am 100% sure about it because I never had a single problem with it beside that in my idea it is best looking spinning reel in market about the design and color. Best choice and I always recommend it to people.
