Cartop boat wheels

Featured Replies

I have a 10 foot aluminum boat, I’d like to add wheels to it to help me launch it.  Any idea how or what I should get

You may need to fabricate something. I know they make things like that for kayaks, but I'm not sure about your situation. You may be able to fabricate something out of an old yard cart or something like that.

Ive been using a 2 wheel hand truck for my 10 ft. Flat bottom for at least a dozen years. 25 bucks at home depot.

@keagbassr I was actually thinking of suggesting that, but I wasn't sure how unwieldy a jon boat would be on one of those. I'm glad to hear it works!

Yea if you get the back end of the boat up against the bottom plate of the dolly and lift the front end of the boat it will lift the dolly off the ground and makes it easy to move around.

My boats a v hull

Cut some brackets out of wood to hold the v hull and bolt them to the hand truck.

Still flat in the back by the transom? Or maybe something like this. I use one to launch my sailboats.
