FedEx figured a 7' 11" was just too long so they were nice enough to make it a travel rod for me!

USPS broke a Megabass rod I ordered a while back. Them and FedEx (ALWAYS days late) have been the worst for me. UPS has been great for me.

Maybe it depends on your area? For me USPS is usually early but it's hit and miss on what's damaged. 

FedEx ALWAYS late and high chances of damage. 

UPS usually late but hardly ever any damages.

The 711XH lost almost a 1/2oz from the A model.
