This is low-hanging fruit time and I’m stinking the place up.  I typically do not cast baits to beds anyways, but I’m sucking at finding the strays.   Beds are empty at my local golf course lake.

yesterday I squeaked out two meager fish.  Tough!   I was watching the people happily playing golf and wondered if selling my kayak would offset the cost of some new clubs. ….haha.

Haha! You aren’t a true bass fisherman until you’ve seriously considered selling everything you have and doing something else.

Right...I told my buddy a few weeks ago after a long fruitless trip that I was gonna pile my gear up in my back yard and set it in fire. He said hey man give it to me...to which I respond no way dude I have to rid the world of this curse.

….then next time you go, you’ll wear’em out…

There is no known cure for this cycle of addiction.

I played golf years ago. I was okay at it but I find it infinitely more frustrating than fishing, and less relaxing.

If you aren't catching at a golf course pond you can still have some fun. It's called an air horn. :)

Whispering commentator: "On the 3rd tee Thad Doofus is setting up with his driver. He's very relaxed, nice waggle, here comes the backswing and...."

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMPPP!!!!!!!!

"....ooh what a nasty slice! It's headed for the parking lot....wait, what's this? Thad is running toward some guy near the water hazard! Is that a 6 iron in his hand?"

"Jim, I believe that is a five iron...."

Not my idea, saw some punks do this on Youtube a few years ago. I have to admit I laughed watching it for a little bit.

TL;DR

Don't sell your gear!

So I don't look for bed fish and do fine. You see one cool catch it put it back.  But there are lots of fish either pre spawn or post that are willing to bite.  Look a little deeper or in deeper cover. Fished  a tournament this last weekend and most of my fish came on a frog when everyone else was looking  for beds. If water is above 59 throw a buzz bait or top water. Go get um.

I personally believe that golf spectators should be allowed to act like all other sports spectators. Like, yes, what those guys do is already impressive. I want to see them play it with some guy in a richard nixon mask squeezing 10 rubber ducks with a belt on the fairway. If basketball players can make free throws with 20k people yelling at them...I'm sure a golfer can learn to handle an air horn

also i don't play golf
