Lately, I've been slaying largemouth on wacky rigged stickbaits. I ran out of stickbaits on my last trip and found an old bag of trick worms in my tackle bag. I ended up catching more on those trick worms than I was on the stickbaits. Does anyone normally wacky rig trick worms? And if so would you take them over a stickbait?

I use both , I let the fish tell me which one they like better. It seems if there in a negative mood they seem to hit the Trick worm better .

Did you notice the trick worm sinking slower than the traditional stick baits? Or what type of action did it have different from the stick worms? I have tried wacky rigging zoom finesse worms and felt like they sank at a slower rate when rigged on a light wire wacky hook. Maybe this helps when the bass aren't aggressive. Basically i stick to the senko type worms when wakcy rigging, but if it's working well for you, keep going with it. Good luck

Been using trick worms with a weighted wacky rig and wacky drop shot with good success this year. Been using the vmc rings to keep them together.

Yes, and yes. I save my "spent" t-rigged trick worms for wacky.

I've had success rigging a floating trick worm, neko, style with a small nail weight. 

Wacky Rigging down here started with Trick Worms & yes nails.

 

I also throw Bass Assassin's Tapout Worm. It's thicker which helps casting weightless.

I prefer a trick worm when wacky rigging.

I noticed it sank a little slower and had a more dramatic "wobble".
