Dirty water spring smallie bite

Featured Replies

Whats your go to search lure when targetting smallies in deeper dirty water. Particularly area im hitting hard is 3/4 ml below dam. After a riffle run, the channel drops to 20ft. It drops off quickly from the bank and is composed of a mostly rocky bottom.

A swimbait on a ballhead always gets them, and it’s so versatile. What you’re describing sounds a lot like what I fish.

if its dirty I want something that's noisy and guaranteed to get their attention.

1. Spinnerbait, chatterbait,

2. Rattletrap, inline spinner, spoon

and expect to find them near cover and shallow. or not, they're smallies
