What are your thoughts on changing your hard bait treble hooks to single hooks? 

Sorry but I don’t understand why. I need all the help/hooks I can get

I do it because it gets more hits & hook ups with C & R fish.

When hand landing bass the Owner single replacement hook for trebles is a good idea for diving crank baits. No experience trying singles on jerk baits.

I've tried them on lipless and jerkbaits, jury is still out on just how much better they keep the fish pegged but they certainly work. I don't have the biggest sample size to work with yet but results are positive so far, I'd say give them a shot if you're curious.

Yes i swap inline singles for trebles but mostly for dealing with pike. Bass are pretty easy to release generally but i still hate having tail trebles swinging around. I’m on a kayak so ease of release is important. I haven’t noticed a big dif in hookups but i use single hook swim baits spinnerbaits  and senkos all the time and they hold fish. 

They're more effective then most people realize, but like anything else it's a compromise.  You dont hook as many fish that just slap or roll at the bait as you would if you had trebles.  If you get the fish to commit the bigger bite on the single hooks holds as good or better then trebles IMHO.

They definitely are much easier on the fish and the angler. Even just replacing the rear treble on a bait saves lots of eyeballs.  Releasing any fish much less a trophy with half the vision it had before you encountered it is a feeling I hate.

Loving it, a lot easier to handle the fish compare to 6-9 hooks hanging around to poke into my fingers. I always bank fish and often time I have to reach down to grab the fish. I only use single hook on lipless and some topwater, never on jerkbait.
