Plastic Hellgrammites

Found a pack of the Nikko baits at a fishing flea market show last weekend for $0.75 so I figured I would give them a try. These are made of some sort of elastic material so they should last.

When I use them in current, I Ned rig them the same way I use other soft Plastics. I toss towards shore and gently drag them back while controlling my drift with my trolling motor. I do not use enough

Weightless on a worm hook.  Let it dead drift from upstream and i add a split shot for downstream drifts.   Mine are a BPS instore brand about 3" lg.

Going through a lot of tackle that I've accumulated over many years I came across these.

At the time they were the thing, I did catch some on it but we usually able to get live ones, live ones were unreal, we had times where that would be the only thing they would hit, it was like magic throwing them where you would have thought there were no fish.

I like the Eurotackle Hellgrammites for my ultralight gear.  Lots of different color varations.
