The amazing part is it looks spawned out.  Might have been a little heavier a few weeks ago, though uncertifiable before June 15.  Crazy.

Amazing fish.  And the thing stuck with me from that link was June 15, "first day of New York bass season".   I grew up in a state with fishing seasons, but having lived further south for many years now, it seems like an odd concept.

You can fish for bass in most of NY, but outside the season it's immediate catch and release.

That's how it is in Michigan, too.

 

I love seeing new records set. Even if it's in another state. It means that the big ones are still out there, growing and thriving and just waiting to be caught.
