Rage craw Vs Zoom Mag Speed craw

Featured Replies

I can only buy one right now, out of the both, which one would work better for 15+ foot visibility water. Im not sure if a more aggressive action is better or a more subtle one. I am fishing them on a texas rig.

Original UV speed craw gets my vote.

Old conversation here ...but the Zoom UV speed craw is the most compact ...but throws a lot of vibration.   Also try.....Baby Rage Craw .   Much smaller than Rage Craw....awesome for smaller jigs and finesse

As the water gets colder, I tend to throw something with less action. Both those baits have quite a bit of built in action, one is just a tighter action like a flat side crank vs. a normal one.  When it gets downright cold, below 50, I'm throwing a chunk on a stand up, or shakey head head. Let it sit after it hits bottom until I can't stand it any longer and then I move it a few inches and repeat.  I never feel, or see the hit. The fish is just 'there' when I go to move the jig.

When my cat was 5ish she would play with a feathered worm wt of 1/16th oz. that i threw on a 5'6" jig rod.

What was the most eyeopening for me was how much she did to it that i never felt as i dragged my feathered wt across the basement floor.

Gets cold the Rage DB Craw . Great in cold water

The water temp can be low enough to stiffen soft plastics. Im probably throwing a black maribou jig in cold water around me.
