The Zillion sounds great but I must admit the aluminum gears make me hesitant.. I have heard of some older Steezes getting "rougher" with age etc. .. so there's that...  Thanks again for the replies..

don’t let the aluminum zillion put you off. It’s a sweet reel and for that price it’s going to be thought to beat. The Met at roughly the same price would be a contender (I don’t have one yet) but digitaka is out of stock right now. 

I just picked up an Daiwa Alphas SV TW from Digitaka and it's quite the reel. Similar size to Curado 70 MGL, brass gears, SV spool/breaks, smooth, metal frame, gear plate, and top plate. Time will tell, but I am impressed so far. I was looking at the zillion and bantam pretty hard as well. 

Thanks to you bad influences, I ordered a Daiwa Millionaire CT SV 70 last night from Digitaka.
