Debating on getting three of either rod brands, anyone who has either could give me some input.

I have Dobyns Sierra Micro guides in 7-0 heavy and 7-3 heavy. They actually fish mh fast. They are incredibly well balanced. I pair them with a Lew's custom Lite at 4.9 oz and they balance right in front of the reel. They are sensitive and handle fish really well. Casting is accurate due to the tip action of these rods. They have a no questions asked lifetime warranty. I think it's 70 or 80$ to get a replacement. Can speak about Lew's tournament rods except for the fact that I hate winn grips.

I can't comment on the Dobyns.  I've got a Lews TP1 black and I love it.  I'm a cheapskate.  The TP1 is my most expensive rod.  I've also got a Lews MACH.  I really like it too.   I normally fish with 3 rods.  The 2 Lews and a Duckett are what I usually take.   

 

My TP1 Black is 7'3" Med/hvy.    It doesn't fish like a broom stick.  I've got a BPS med/hvy that fishes like a broom stick.  

 

I'm not a rod guru.  Keep that in mind when listening to me about rods.   

I haven’t used the sierra line, but I’ve got a tp1 black 7’ mh that is fantastic. It’s my true do-all casting rod. 

I also cannot comment on the Dobyns rods having handled them in-store (fury series) but never fishing with them. Although I don’t have the TP1 black I have the previous generation TP1 in med.hvy/moderate along with 2 previous generation Carbon Fire rods and a Hank Parker signature rod. All of my Lew’s rods are well built especially at their respective price points. I will echo @Woody B in not being a rod guru, I have more expensive rods but I will say my 6’-10” Carbon Fire has been without a doubt one of my favorite  purchases yet. I will admit although I don’t have a preference for grip material I have Eva and cork gripped rods as well, I love my Wynn grips but I also prefer the slimmer grip that my Carbon Fire’s and TP1 provide.

I used a Dobyns Sierra 734c Micro for the better part of a full season about 4 years ago. Pretty darn sensitive, clean build, and still have it although it’s sitting in a corner thanks to my bait monkey and trying other brands.

 

I would go Sierra all day long. 3, 4, and 5 powers will pretty much cover a lot of a bass anglers needs.

 

Never fished a Lews…and I don’t plan on it. Was never impressed with any of the builds I’ve handled. Much better rod options out there.

I have 2 ea TP1B70MH Worm Rods & 1 ea TP1B74H Pitching Rod

 

The 7' MH are excellent worm/jig rods for weights 1/8-1/2 oz.

 

The 7'4" H is excellent frog rod, flipping-n-pitching rod, & Medium punch rod up to 1 oz.

How has the cork handle held up and have you sealed the cork with any kind of cork sealer?

Cork is just fine. Unsealed.
