Rod for new Chronarch G

Featured Replies

Hey,

So I've narrowed down my choices of a new rod to 3 options right now..

Shimano curado, st. Croix victory, and falcon lowrider. Do you guys have any experience with these rods or suggestions? Thanks

The shimano and st croix are $200 rods. If you’re going to that price point the falcon expert is the line to look at. Nice upgrade over the lowrider and awesome rods.

did you decide on a length/power/use?

I'm looking between 7' - 7-3 medium heavy all around rod. The curado can be had for 150-170 depending on length, not quite at $200. I'm trying to stay under 200 but it is not so easy

in that case, the low rider all ‘round fast is where I’d go in the falcon lineup.

Am I losing my mind or did you already start a thread on this. I could've sworn I posted in it before. What techniques are you planning for this setup?

Dobyns Sierra 734 (micro guides/split grip) is a great, versatile rod. Especially for moving baits.
