Fishing isn't a big part of DSG's strategy.

Sometimes I wonder if it is a big part of BPS' strategy

Yeah the DSG that F&S was apart of is still open, and they mentioned “something big” on their website so I think we’ll be getting a Public Lands.

We "had" a F&S in Huntington. It "had" a really fantastic and huge freshwater section. Even had a good JDM baits section. A hardcore bass guy was definitely in charge of stocking it at some point. The place was so good that it made all other DSGs in the area look sad. They turned it into Public Lands and ruined it.

These hasn't been a tackle shop close by my house for thirty years now. I got word of a new shop opening in a small town about ten minutes from me.                            I stopped by yesterday and spoke with the new owner. He was busy stocking up, and getting ready to open on March 1.                                        He told me he'll have a whole wall of bass tackle. Also, rods and reels, lines of all types, and rod/ reel repair. Also stocking hand tied jigs for bass and crappie.                       He's a very nice young guy, an avid fisherman, and he's made a serious investment here. I'll probably be hanging around there, sipping coffee, and talking fishing, as well as being a customer too. It's a tough business. I sure hope he makes it.

Is it the one story red building at the end of Main street across the street from the church?

It's a red building across from an old garage. It was originally the scale house, where farmers weighed grain.

Let us know if he’ll be on FB, or have a web site.

So happy, that DSG public lands is by my job. The new Bass Pro is going to be on my way home.

It isn't. They're both nothing more than clothing retailers that just happen to carry some sporting equipment. Meh. Oh well, they both didn't get that big not knowing where the big money making mark up is at. My hats off to all Mom & Pop shops holding it down.
