Bladed jig hook

Featured Replies

So looking for some ideas.  Would love to find the Jackhammer hook but not sure it exists in the wild except small packs of the Game heavy cover flipping hook.  But for guys who are pouring their own bladed jigs, what hook and size are you using?  I started with the standard spinnerbait hooks but would like to find shorter shank and wider gap hook.  TIA

I punch the eye on a VMC 7216 hook for mine. If you are using the S link than any straight hook should work.

5/0 Gama 484 straight shank worm hook is what I use. It's not super heavy wire, but it's plenty strong, and Gama sharp.

I am playing around with this hook as well.  Seems like a pretty good solution but do with it was a little stouter.

You could cut the bait keepers off of flippin hooks and use those.
