she is traveling with friends.  my initial gut reaction was that i was gonna miss her dearly, and that has been true.  

 

my second gut reaction was:  hmmm...fishing.  lots of fishing.

 

i am fishing a lot.  taking some random mid week days off of work and going.  i need weather to improve.

 

my wife broke the golden rule of traveling with friends.  she went in a group of 3.  it is always 2 versus 1.  hahah.  they are on day six and one lady already turned kinda crazy.  my wife and one other already discussed renting a AirBNB.  she wants to come home early.  i told her to buy a train ticket to London, or Amsterdam and break off solo for a week or so. i would. 

 

i too am breaking the same rule, but not exactly.  there will be 3 of us going to Brazil.  but we are fishing.  we are dudes...we wont bicker.  and my brother is one of the 3 so it better be us against the one other dude.  haha.  a fourth dude wussed out on us.  we were a band of brothers of four.  now three.  

traveling with friends is an artform.  it aint for the weak of heart.

My wife keeps talking about taking a trip somewhere with her sister.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed but no luck so far.

The wife travels quite a bit for work and if I like the location I'll go along.

Many times I stay behind with the dog and straight to water we go. Lol

We're both very independent and a simple text goodnight is all that's required.

She's going to Huntington Beach California for a week in July...... I'll definitely be fishing on the east coast that week. ?

My wife and oldest daughter are going to Europe for 10+ days at the end of May.

I got a good day in today. 

My wife went to Scotland with a couple friends two years in a row. Our son was still pretty small, and I was way too busy with work to get away for that long so it was four weeks of working and daycare, fishing and “men’s nights” type dinners for the kid and I. We had a great time.
