Anyone out there throwing the Daiwa Tatula 7'3" Swimbait rod? It's rated to 4oz and has a regular action. I'll be wanting to use it with S-Waver 168, 6" Magdrafts with 3/4oz belly hook, 6.8" Kietech with 3/8 or 3/4oz belly hook. So basically swim baiting, but not really big ones. Most of the baits I'll be using are in the 1.5-2 1/4oz baits.Will this rod be able to go up to S-Waver 200 or some of the mid size swimbaits out there.

It’ll be fine for all that with maybe the exception of the swaver 200, it would probably require lob casting making distance difficult, ymmv I’m making an assumption here. I feel like the 4oz rating on it is a bit optimistic. I’ve only pushed it to 2 1/2oz and it was loading a lot, it felt as if it would be fully loaded by 3oz; 1-3oz would be a more appropriate rating for it imo.

I agree with @Bass Rutten. Keep in mind that there's not much rod left above its long handle, so while it works very well for precise shorter casts it's limited for bombing.

Even if it's rated for it and can handle it I think throwing a 3oz bait on that short of a rod would wear you out a lot quicker. I fish the Swaver on a 7'11. 

I got this rod over the summer and paired it with a Tatula 200. I have only used it for treble hook swimbaits but I think it would do okay with something like a 6" Magdraft Freestyle. I pretty much agree with everything @Bass Rutten said and wouldn't go over 3oz.

One more question. Have you ever thrown a Pro KGB bait on it?

If you meant the spro kgb chad shad, no, but at  2.4oz it should be a great rod for it especially if you work glides with the rod.

If I could, I'd certainly throw a pro-KGB right into a lake, probably prefer a fast sinking model though.
