and a queen bee on spelling bee. Wordle was a little lucky but my second guess was a good word based on the letters left to ensure I got it by three. The perfect record is still intact. 
 

I don’t have a lot of confidence in Wordle’s stats. Yours is one of several posted that don’t add up. You can’t have a max streak of 51 when you’ve only lost 2 games out of 428 played. Casts_by_fly’s was similar with a max 51 and over 400 played games. Max streak should be a couple hundred in those cases. J Francho’s don’t seem to match either, though not nearly as wonky.  I know I lost a couple hundred games and my win streaks when it converted to NYT and accidentally cleared my cache and ‘Stats’ started over 😪

I believe that streak will be broken without a loss by forgetting to play for a day.  I was without a phone for a week and my percentage stayed good, but streak stopped.

I also think percentage is rounded, because I'm fairly certain I lost one a while back, but I'm back to 100

Yes skipping does not hurt your percentage.  I didn’t play Wordle for 9 months,  then started again when @J Francho started this thread and introduced me to the awful game of Connections.

@J Francho: it’s a style/form of a book. I only know because I played D&D as a kid and one of the books was called the Fiend Folio, lol. 
Generally it’s a leaf style of book. 
 

I’ve never played these two puzzle games before so I checked  to see what wordle was. Seems kind of fun and somewhat reminiscent of an old game I remember for elementary school called master mind. 
 

Since I’m kind of nerdy, sometimes my brain gets rolling and my thinking cap starts to heat up and conjure strategies and plans. It’s winter time and it’s 15 degrees outside so I have an excuse. I made the assumption that someone with a lot of time on their hands probably made a web page with words with the most vowels… and there is one!

 

So that would be my first strategy - choosing the first guessed word that has a lot of vowels  should be a fair start but no guarantee.

I’m still debating whether to try it. There is a puzzle in our local paper called KenKen. It’s somewhat like sudoku on steroids where you actually deal with numbers like sudoku. Fortunately, while sudoku uses numbers, it does not require mathematical computation. Kenken however, does and it’s fun!

 

 

 

 

 

@islandbass, I have tried starting with words like adieu in the past, but my brain works Wordle much better if I maximize consonants first.  I mix it up a little with words like plant, or sting, or blast, grand,  plant, etc

missing days breaks your streak but doesn’t count as a loss. 
 

I had a 400+ day streak before the times bought it but I didn’t transfer the data properly and lost it.

correct. 1 loss in 201 games will round to 100%. If you add up my data it’s 426/428. Going back to the start and including data I’ve lost it would be 4 games out of about 850 or so.
