rocknfish9001 Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 I have made my mind to get a good quality spinning setup. I started with an ugly stick and an off brand reel. I moved up to a mitchell 300x and a cabelas im6 rod. Now i currently have a shakespear catera and a bps im6 rod. Far from superior. I do have a pflueger trion and bionic blade casting setup that keeps me happy, though. Anyways, i saw this spinning setup at bps for $170. It is a shimano stradic and a bps xps extreme rod. Hows that sound? Quote
R Tilson Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 You won't be disappointed by the Stradic. Very smooth reel, easy to add oil, and the bushings are adjustable to help with flouro. Quote
justfishin Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Stadic? buy it. You won't be disappointed. Quote
Fishin49er Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 If im not mistaken they will match internet prices in the store. So mention you saw it for 140 online and you can save 30 bucks. Im pretty sure they do that. Quote
Bassinfreak2 Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 I really like the stradics, however I would probably pair it up with a st croix rod matched for your type of fishing. Quote
Super User Chris at Tech Posted December 8, 2006 Super User Posted December 8, 2006 I have that combo. Stradic 2500 and 7' MH Extreme rod. I really like it, but I've never fished a Loomis, St Croix, etc. For the price, I think it's great! Throws unweighted senkos and ikas a mile Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 8, 2006 Super User Posted December 8, 2006 Check the BPS website. If you are buying the 2500FH, it looks to me that this combo is on sale for $139.98. Quote
