CT to Florida trip

Featured Replies

Thanks for all the info on the central Florida area everyone, we had a blast.  The fishing with artificial seas a little slower than I thought it would be, however we got to fish some lakes that are unlike anything we have up north! (Toho, hatchineha, Kissimmee, headwaters, kenansville).  That road to kenansville is rough but not crazy, then I saw the ramp haha.  Anyways, thanks again for all the guidance, we appreciate it!  I especially want to thank all the super friendly and helpful people down here.  It’s rare you can chat someone up about how the fishing is going in CT without getting dirty looks, let alone someone towing you in from the American flag canal on headwaters when you break down.

I made the mistake of not covering the boat heading into headwaters, but that was fixed with a good wash.  If anyone is ever up in the CT area feel free to reach out for info!

Appears that you had a successful trip. This is no Candlewood!  😆

We warned you about the boat cover.🙂

Yeah I know haha, I figured it rained that morning so maybe it wouldn’t be so dusty.  I was wrong.

Glad you had a good trip

Glad you had a good trip! Part of that road to Kenansville was recently paved, so you only got to experience half the dusting. And then you saw that ramp! lol Sometimes that ramp gets totally clogged with thick vegetation and running that road only to turn around can be a big let-down.
