Yozuri Hybrid line

Featured Replies

Any opinions on this line?  What do you use it for? BPS sale 4.99 a spool.

For 4.99, it is a good buy.  I would definately buy a few spools in 6 lb. test for spinning gear.  I use it for soft plastics, which for me are mainly senkos and senko knock-offs.  The line is very strong and handles pretty good.  I can get decent distance on my casts as well.

I think you'll like it, if you haven't tried it.

I use it for several different applications. The 20 lb test is fantastic for pitching/flipping.It's strong, abrasion resistant, and it pitches easily.

I use Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft on all my spinning rods

UL # 4

Med # 6

It is all I every use.

i have 20# on right now and really dont like it.  maybe a got a bad spool but i have very bad memory.  but ive read here that the ultra soft version is much different and better than the original.

I had the same problem with memory with the yozuri. Try some "reel magic" it seemed to help. I had that problem with 20# and 25# line, but the 12# I have seems to be great, but use the reel magic often.

I do however use the 25# Hybrid in clear as a leader on my flippin stick, when I use spider wire.

I never tie spiderwire, or any braid, to the lure. I always use a leader and yozuri hybrid works great for a leader in heavy cover. Its almost clear and it can take lots of abuse

I use 50# spiderwire with 25# yozuri Hybrid and almost no line breaks. get a snag and usially the knot breaks or most offten the hook breaks or staightens out.

The original formula is a completely different line than the Hybrid Ultra Soft. In use, Ultra Soft has virtually no memory. I fish #6 (11.9 lb test) on spinning tackle, #12 (19.5 lb test) on baitcasting gear. I have never been broken off by a fish on this line.
