New video! Year Round Hair Jigs!

Featured Replies

Deadly black marabou jig.

I throw them on a 6-6 st C Triumph Lfast but I'm thinking of upgrading to the Levante Whipsnake  or  the  7' Curado Lfast.

A 4# river smallie will overpower that Triumph and its hard on me when I miss an early season smallie after waiting thru 4 months of ice.

I've been fishing mine (black) on 4lb test and about 3 feet under a weighted bobber to get exceptional casting distance from the bank. I also just like catching "fish" so bluegill, crappie and bass are always on the menu with this set-up.

Thanks for posting them here for us!

I like to hear from the community and learn.

Glenn are talking about Marabou jigs, hair jigs or a combination of marabou feathers and hair?

Marabou today comes from turkey rump feathers, originally from the Marabou Stork.

Back in 60’s we called them Marabou jigs, no confusion!
Mid swimming a marabou jig be prepared to catch some big Crappies.

Both the hair and Finesse jig articles very

informative and well done👍

Hair kills . All year on the River for Smallies. I remember Mister Twister used to sell them . Really good bass jigs

My marabou jig is bucktail, flash and marabou. Seems like everyone in bass fishing lumps it all together. The trout guys have names for all of them.
