One of the best River Smallie Crankbait ever made. Use em ever year

I like to fish the Rebel Micro Crawfish when I take my kids fishing in the local creeks. The built in single, barbless hook is nice for when I'm mostly just playing with green sunfish and little creek bass anyways.

Quite possibly the greatest river/creek crank bait of all time, but they don’t get a lot of love by the reservoir/green fish guys. I have no doubt it would still catch fish though cranking around riprap or gravel banks on those lakes. Still have a couple sitting around the garage tackle somewhere myself.

I did really good on a school of spots in a creek arm on Norfork one April. Three of us in the boat and I was the only getting bit with any consistency. Just one of those timing things I guess.

Going throgh my spare tackle I found a Rebel Big Craw that was discovered at a thrift store a few years back. I put new hooks on it and made room in my deep diving tackle box for it. I have never used one. I'm thinking an early spring bait in the same places I throw Warts and Mudbugs.

I bought a Big Craw at the flea market one time(Still have it) It is the only one I've ever seen.

Yes, I accumulated a stack of them in my early years. Work well on a BFS setup. I put a larger hook on the rear and remove the front hook. Works better than the 2 tiny hooks they come with.

I like to use big baits and I like to use little baits, there is a time and place for both.

I remember fishing with my uncle when I was about 14 and we were struggling. We pulled into a marina area and I was throwing one around the floating docks and I started hammering the smallmouth on about every cast. He looked to see what I was using and he tied on a craw color crank and caught a few but not as many as I was on the Rebel. I recently bought a few again to play around with this year.

That was the first crankbait I ever used. I fished a small pond with a buddy in the fall and he gave me one. He crushed em. I caught a couple, but I just didnt have the cadence and feel down. Lots of times you wouldn't feel the hit, so I didnt know to set the hook. I think mine had dull hooks too. I lost 6 or 7 that just shook the bait out.
