Boat security on a fishing trip

Featured Replies

I have heard parking it overnight with a cover is worse than uncovered because they can slip underneath and grab all your electronics and gear without anyone noticing. Park near lights and if you use a cover maybe get some sort of motion alarm to put underneath as well.

I've never had to think about it.  I've only travelled with my boat in New England and stay at our timeshares.

If there's ever a time where I might need to consider security ... I belong to a Filipina .... no problem ....

Lots of good tips here. I like loctite red, haha, need a torch to get it off.

My dad picked up a baby monitor. He puts it under the cover and any motion sends an alarm on the monitor and his receiver device in the room. Fortunately he hasn’t had any issues but I have no doubts that it would work much like an alarm system.
