Outkast Cage Feider Jig in Laydowns

Featured Replies

Does anyone have real world experience fishing it in laydowns and rock? First thing I noticed was how slim it is so I assume it will come through branches pretty good? Also how is it in rock? Where I fish there is lots of laydowns with rock under it so a T-rig gets hung in the rock a fair bit. Switched to a jig and even though it doesn't come through the branches quite as good it doesn't get hung up on the rock nearly as much.

The Cage Feider is one expensive jig ! Please explain (other than being tungsten) why it is better than jigs $2 or $3 less ?

The Santone M series Flipping jig uses Gamakatsu cross hook and modified Arkie shape head at 1/2 the price.

The only issue I've noticed about tungsten & rock is when it does hang the more you pull the tighter it wedges. Lead will give a little.

It's my favorite jig! It does really well around laydowns and brushpiles. I dont have alot of rock in my lake so I cant say how it does around that.

It's also a good jig to fish and skip around docks.
