Getting Into Keitech Swing Impact fats. Wondering what's a good all around size for bass. Don't want to get too big of a size but don't want too large of a size to where I'm only getting 1 bite on it. I was thinking 3.8. Is that good or should I upsize/downsize to a 4.3 or a 3.3. Thanks!

I throw the 2.8 or 3.3.

I carry 2.8, 3.3, and 3.8 because you never know what size will be working the best.

In general , I like the 2.8" for cold water months , the 3.3" for spring with water temps warming and the 3.8" for hottest water temp months. If I had to pick just one - the 3.3" tends to be my favorite all-around size Keitech Fat.

I use 3.8 and 4.3 for stout brown bass.

Aya and Perch are ate my go to.

Match the hatch, if you can.  If you see some fish running around in a particular size, throw that size.  Otherwise, I'd just try one and see if it works.  If it doesn't work, try something else. 

 

Though the size differences you list aren't enormous.  So I wouldn't worry too much about it, unless you want to buy some of each.  There's no good way of knowing what the bass prefer on any given day.  However, I suspect most days the bass won't be too particularly picky about one a 3.3 vs. a 3.8 or whatever.  Some days they might be.  But I probably throw the 3.8 50% of the time.  Not because it's best.  But because I'm lazy, and if they don't hit that, I switch to something else entirely.

Good colors - also Electric Shad and Silver Flash are great all-around colors ... Throw in a French Pearl color and you are set for brown or green bass.

I use 3.8 for 98% of my FAT Impact use. Its worked well in lakes that I typically have to downsize and also just as well in lakes I dont have to downsize. 

Today it was 2.8 or stay home.  I started with the 3.3 got bites but couldn’t hook up.  My partner was using 2.8 and catching.  I switched and started catching.  Color wasn’t an issue but size sure was.  They were 25-40’ deep.  We caught lmb, spots, stripers, and whites.

3.8 is probably the middle of the road for most people.  3.3 is fairly close to a 3.8 in profile and size, its just shorter.  I have a bunch of the 2.8s , but honestly I dont use them very much.  I prefer a 3" easy shiner in cold or pressured water, it just looks more natural to me.  Of the 3 keitech swimbaits the Fat has the most roll.  I like contrasting colors with some flash for the fats because that roll accentuates the contrast, making it look like the bait is changing colors as it swims.   Theres so many good keitech colors it can drive you crazy.  Its good to have a natural color, a white base color and a bold color, that will cover the vast majority of scenarios.  For natural I like electric shad or bluegill flash both do really well.  White base its tough to go wrong to wrong with pro blue and for a bold color I like sungill or electric blue chartreuse.
