I have been eying this reel for sometime now. Is it any better than a Curado?

These are kinda strange but neat.  They are a Doyo product like Lews ect and feature the high end Doyo construction of an aluminum frame and dual aluminum side plates with an electroplated finish but the internals of a work horse $100 to $150 reel instead of the dual pinion support and light weight spool normally found in Doyos using this finish.  The best comparison would be if you gave Lews LFS a dual brake, dual aluminum side plates and twice the cost.

It looks just like a lews except for the colors. Right down to the inset logo. 

Are lews made in the same factory as these? Are there any other reels that are made in the same factory?

Doyo makes reels for lots of brands. And no they are not all the same . I would stick with Lews. Which are made by doyo and are as good as it gets.

Yes and more than you can list.

Both are made by Doyo.  They are essentially rebrands of a Doyo product.  This is actually the norm for most reels found on the market with Daiwa and Shimano being the exception.

Why bother with this when JDM Alphas is so cheap?

The Alphas is tiny, the capacity is low and the SV brake ams amall diameter spool is not well suited to long distance casting of heavier compact baits.  I use mine as a jig reel.  The 1st gen Alphas with its myrad of spools and their braking profiles is more of an all arounder than the SV only Alphas TW IMO.

Except the Daiwa CC and CA 80s are built by Doyo. MagTrax brakes too.

I have many different BPS reels, both casting and spinning, and never had an issue. I keep buying them.

Nothing from Doyo comes close to shimano/daiwa. If the yen was high, the reason to get doyo is because they're cheaper, but now, there's no reason at all.

If the capacity is an issue, that's a valid reason, but it being tiny doesn't mean that its a fragile reel for smaller lures.

I would disagree that a Shimano or Diawa is automatically the best. A matter of opinion I think. I own both, and Doyo reels also. But I guess I don’t buy the top end reels either. 200$ would be the most I would spend on a reel.

$200 is enough to get a zillion, which is amazing. You try a zillion, and doyo becomes a pepper grinder in comparison.

That's your opinion  and ur entitled  to it but my buddies who use both get upset when my lews outcasts them.At 4.9 oz. My custom lites are nice and definitely worth the money. My bb1 is the best crankbait reel I've ever used.

Outcasting is not being a better reel. Daiwa has a ton of ultra long casting spools, and if your buddy is using the stock SV spools in his daiwas, of course it will lose in the casting distance. These spools were never designed for longest possible casting distance, but at the same time, Daiwa is the one brand that is not missing the ultra long casting spools eighter, you just need to know what they are, and if they're compatible with your reel. 

I don't use Lews reels, but i have used plenty of abus. Nothing comes close to daiwa/shimano. Of course, that's my opinion.
