I even have a custom-made rod just for spinnerbaits.

I never fish spinnerbaits.  They break too easy and I just don't catch fish on them.  I have better luck on on in-line spinners, but I'd rather just use a bladed jig.

Have you tried one of these?

Uh well neither have I, just bought a couple to try out.😁

My favorite inline in spinnerbait form.

Hi Quake,

The one thing I don't like about that spinner bait and others made like it. The Beetle spin comes to mind. It has the rolled wire line tie instead of the "R" bend that is found a most spinner baits. It has the ability for the line to wrap around the line tie eye and get pinched in the rolled eye between the shaft and the rolled ring is. This happens when it helicopters or spins in the air when casting causing it to wrap around the eye and you retrieve it gets caught in that pinch point and damages the line. I hope that makes sense.

I don't use them but I took a look at this spinnerbait and it seems well built.  It' a little bit heavy on the wire ( 0.040 ) but that makes it last longer.  I make my own ( for the last 30 years) and I like 0.035.

You can help with longivity if you wrap the R bend with fly tying thread ( braided line) or put a small split ring over it.

I have to agree with you. 035 = more vibration = more and bigger bites. Wrap the R bend and have at it. I get the standpoint some have with heavier wire = more durability. Personally, I'd rather err on the side of vibration. Just my .02 on the subject
