My PB teener came on a white jig with a big white grub trailer. February - 27 degrees and sleeting.

Yeah a white jig is a big fish bait to me for sure.  Caught a 9.1 out of public pressured small water in early February - super cold water.  I feel like white is shooting for 8+ in general and the bluegill jigs get a lot more 4-7 lb bites.

Snakeheads like White jigs as well.image.jpg.4dd18d8d7c3acec11d344bab246f2755.jpg

Yes. @Siebert Outdoors compact swim jig in 3/8 I believe. Not pure white, a couple strands of chartreuse at least and maybe a blue few as well. Basic white twin tail trailer. I've been swimming these jigs since the summer in various ways at various bodies of water and having consistent luck. Last weekend I caught some small ones on it which was a little unusual. I may go up to heavier weight and speed up to see if the big girls will thump it

I tie my own jigs with hair and fur. My best colors are always browns blacks and greens. I fish them like bottom strolling or mid water strolling. I fish them year round.  I need to start using more whites. Haven’t had much luck with them.

Normally I'm not much of a jig guy.

Earlier this month, I was on a heck of a spinnerbait bite, then a chatterbait bite, then a swim jig bite.  The water was initially in the mid 60's then dropped and dropped each time I went, down to about 53 the third time.  I had to slow my presentation each time because of their unwillingess to chase moving as the water temps dropped.

White was the color of choice all three times, or some variation of it.
