I wouldn't say no to that combo.

Who am I kidding - I've got a Tatula 100 HS on an Aird-X 7'0" MH/F - it's my main spinner/chatter rig.

Even with my Mojos and Victories, I still like the Aird-X....my frog rod is an Aird-X H/F (grin)

Misunderstood your post at first.  Nice combo.  Never seen an Aird X, but just about everyone says they fish above their price.  It's the rod I would buy if limited to that budget.  I'm slightly biased towards Daiwa reels.  :)  I do fish several other brands, tho.

When I got back into fishing, I went the baitcast route and several of my first rods were 6'6" which was long for me at that time because I was used to fishing shorter spinning rods.  I soon learned that I preferred longer casting rods.  Any pond I fished in my youth did not have any trees around it. Thus my suggestion below.

I'm sure the Bait Monkey isn't through with you yet.  I'd look at a 7'-7'3" MHF for your next rod.  And, of course, another Daiwa reel.

If you'd like to stay with a shorter rod, the 6'10" MHF Tatula would be a good choice.

I had a 7’ MHF Abu Garcia rod but it was too heavy and long for my use case. Sure it’s great for heavier lures but I often throw finesse presentations more than big baits.

Once I get around to it, i’ll get the Tatula XT 7’ MHF for power fishing. I didn’t get that one first because I heard it was stiff even though it was a MF rod, so chances are i couldn’t throw my 1/16 - 1/4oz on it.

Slow and steady wins the race, I knew I would love the Aird-x because I felt it in store and it’s finesse feel was exactly what I was looking for.
