Its time to upgrade my reels. My old Speed Spools have seen their day worn out. I have my eyes on the Shimano Calcutta 200 (silver color). Its all metal and has been unchanged since 1991. Aynone use them and what do you think of them? Thanks in advance !!!!!!!!!

I use Calcutta 100's, never had a problem of any type  8-)

I have a 201, lefty.  I have used many calcutta's over the years and love them.  When I was looking for a round body for freshwater, I automatically went to the calcutta, but got the wrong size.  The 201 is too small for what I wanted to do (swimbaits)  A wider spool is neccessary.

Great reel, regardless of which size you get.

Thanks Guys !! I've handled on and I'm impressed ! I think I've been "scorched" by the "bait monkey. 1991 and no changes I can appreciate that kind of design and all metal on top,

They haven't changed the Calcutta's much because they didn't need changing. Fine reels.
