App - Wind, Waves, Tides?

Featured Replies

Does anyone use or have a recommended app for wind, waves, and tides (if applicable)? I fish mostly tidal waters, and sometimes big stretches of the Potomac River. Last year I got caught up in 3 foot waves and it was a nasty tide to the ramp. I'd like to avoid that again.

I have Windy, but it doesn't forecast wave height, Tides Near Me for tide activity, but it would be great if there was an app that did all three, even subscription based apps.

Does it do wave height? I see it does tidal height, but not wave.

This is usually just as 'accurate' as any forecast I use.

(except for the tides of course)

supposedly.  There is a toggle for 'show points with wave forecast'.  I've never used it so can't tell you how to turn it on but I use windfinder most every day.  I've found that the wind forecast is pretty good most of the time when you account for any land mass features that might redirect it.  Here at the house we are on the face of a hill across a LOOONG valley so the wind is usually amps up a little as it crosses the valley and comes up the hill.  Some of my hunting spots are down in valleys and the hills usually direct the wind along the valley and rarely across it.  On the water its usually pretty close though.

here you go.

@casts_by_fly hmm, do you have a subscription? Maybe I'm not seeing it without a sub. I'll PM you what I'm seeing, clicking that link from my desktop.

I use Willy weather and its been pretty accurate.
