The Spro Chad shad comes with gammy round bend 1/0s. I can’t seem to find what they weigh. I want to go to a stronger hook as I’m fishing these around thick grass edges, sometimes hydrilla in Florida. At the same time, I don’t want the bait to sink faster as it already sinks pretty fast. Does anybody know the gammy weights and have hook recommendations?

Gamakatsu 4x is the strongest hook they make.

Any 2x will weigh more regardless.  Get the hooks you want and some zappu floating board.  Should be able to dial in less sink.

Lol I don't think the Chad shad sinks fast enough!

I wrap lead wire around my chad shad  hook shanks when they are deeper. lol

i weighed 6 of my hooks from my spro chad shads. all are stock. in grams the weights are 1.4, 1.4,1.4,1.5,1.4,1.4.
