A recent thread about a bait (Geecrack, maybe?) got me thinking about a pack of Kill Shot baits I had laying around for years and never opened. I never heard much about them.  I don't know if they were in a monthly tackle box a decade ago, or maybe  TW clearance, or a throw in from a Flea Market purchase from someone here.  But I tied one on the other day because of that post about an innocuous flat fish looking bait.  I'm glad I didn't read the package, because I t-rigged this 'drop shot' lure.  And it has really shined lately.  1/8 or 3/16 trig in and around grass has been the ticket, outperforming my beloved Rage Bug some days.  It comes through grass well, casts great and gets hit on the fall, swimming, and sitting on the bottom.  

Nice!  I do the same with some under used bladed jig trailers and drop shot plastics.  A t-rig or free rig of a big bites swimmon or gambler shakey shad is killer when everyone is up in the grass.

Neat! Definitely something the fish haven’t seen.

Erie Darter came to mind when seeing it. How big are they?  I think the Darter come in 3” and 4”. LureCraft also makes one.

Looks very similar.  Believe mine are 3".  Looks like they make a 4", also.

Cool, I bought some open pour molds to make some of these baits but haven’t gotten around to fishing them yet. I’ve heard nothing but good things about them.  

Anglers Choice now rings a bell. I think they’re out of Canada. It all makes sense why they would make a great drop shot bait now lol.

They look similar but the ridges on the ones OP posted are definitely smaller and don’t stick out of the sides as far as the eerie darter. OP, are they called “kill shots”?
