Anti virus

Featured Replies

I'm looking for ideas for an anti virus for my PC right now I have norton and don't do anything they claim without wanting more money

There are a couple of free ones that seem to work well. AVG and Avast.

Avast free version along with malwarebytes free protection has worked well.

Avast bootscan goes line item by line item on hard drives looking for anything that does not belong.

I run ESET NOD32 antivirus. Has served me well for many, many years. I think it's $40 a year.

I was a tech, and building my own since the late 80's. AVG free has served me well for a number of years, and the suggestion of Malwarebytes is also a good one.

This is one of the reasons I switched to an apple laptop/tablet. They come pre loaded with apple anti virus and there’s constant software updates to keep up with the latest hacks and scams. Plus they never slow down like PC’s do.
