Fuzzy Dice Mold

Featured Replies

Anyone making the fuzzy dice lure using a silicone mold? I found one at the craft store. Bought a mini silicone candy mold has more cavities then I need but for 2 bucks who can complain. Size is .59"x.59"x.39". I just need a few more items then I can start to pour them. Will keep you posted on my progress.

Well I did my first pour, took some old plastics that I don't use, bought a used microwave on Market Place for 20 bucks and started the process. It is going to be a learning experience as to how much to fill each cavity. Also found a company that has pre colored plastics ready to melt. It is Fusionx Fishing.IMG_3780.jpg.90b5ba6bbf53fff4587622b9de6f00b5.jpgIMG_3779.jpg.b02c291128c23c838fbaf91fd3155808.jpg

Now comes the hard part.

First completed dice lures one with short strands and the other with long strands.

How do you plan on rigging these?

Drop shot, reverse drop shot, wacky, and possibly neko. It was suggested to me to add a centering pin, put your hook through the pin and turn the pin so the hook rests on the bait. Basically it saves the bait.

I just caught my first couple fish on a dice bait a couple of weeks ago—they used an elastomer instead of plastisol.  Rigged it drop shot.
