Was a big fan of Sunline Defier Armilo. Always used #13 for my cranks and topwaters. I'm guessing its discontinued as I can't find it anywhere. 

 

My question is what are your go to for mono?  Looking for something similar or better.

i recently purchased a couple spools of varivas mono and have been enjoying it quite a lot. Lower stretch, thin diameter, casts well and breaks at the listed poundage. While i have only used it for a couple of weeks, it has performed well in grassy rivers, rocky piers and around wood/laydowns. I have not, knowingly, run it through shell beds or over tons of zebra mussels so can not speak to that. 

I also found their customer service department to be marvelous. I had some questions and called them, spoke to knowledgeable rep with in minutes. They were able to help me find the "right" line for my needs. 5 stars

Berkley Trilene XL. Supple, manageable, strong, and inexpensive. 

Supernatural is my go to.  I’ve got it on 3/4 of my rods.  I always wanted to try armillo but never did.

I have been using Machine Gun Cast. It's pretty good. No issues but I really haven't found anything that has been as good as Armilo.

Never tried that line, but there are many, many good lines for you to try.  I'd be embarrassed to list all the mono/co-polymer lines I have laying around.  I like trying different gear.  

I’ve been using Sunline Supernatural in 25# for topwaters and it’s awesome. It’s thinner than all other monofilaments and thinner than most fluorocarbons. It’s strong and supple.

I've used 12#, 16# and 25# and they are all great. If you like Armilo, Supernatural and Machinegun Cast are the closest you’ll get.

i would stay away from Trilene. Their line diameters are ridiculous
