Is there an ultra durable craw that fits a bladed jig and works well as a trailer?

Featured Replies

Been using the Z Craw Jr but I’m sick of them ripping in half after every fish.

Looking for something similar only made out of something similar to elaztech, that I can throw all day without touching.

A rage menace glued on is a good option.  Multiple sizes available.  It isn't elaztec but it's a pretty tough plastic and if you glue the head onto the keeper it stays well.

If you really want a craw type shape and also want elaztec then a goat isn't a bad choice.

Isn’t the goat a little long? Is the rage quote a bit stronger than the Z Craw?

The Goat is only 3 3/4" so not long at all.  You might be thinking of the billygoat.  They also have a baby goat at 3".  Most of my vibrating jig trailers are 3.5-4"

I don't know the zcraw.  But I know that the rage menace will last more than a fish or two that you're saying the zcraw does so...

Goat is good. Turbo craw is good but maybe more action than you’re looking for. I also like the menace but the other two last way longer.

Not if you’re looking for something more subtle.

I like net bait Paca Craws… come in different sizes, pretty tough too. Reasonably priced.

I’m not looking for subtlety

Then you would probably like the Turbocraw.

The goat is a little more subtle. Works great on redfish too.

How about the goat?

You might be able to trim it down on the top a little too if you don’t like it’s length.

Elaztech products are more durable than other plastics, generally speaking. Just also keep in mind that they are buoyant, so the bladed jig is going to want to rise some.

I like the menace myself, but the durability isn’t very good. I went through 4 of them last outing because pike kept slashing them.

Does the subtlety of the goat allow the bladed jig to search and dart erratically more?
