Shaky Head extra spring

Featured Replies

Hi All.  I'm new to this site so sorry if this has already been answered.

There's an extra spring that comes with each Shaky Head.  Is this supposed to replace the spring already attached to the jig head if it breaks off or is it for something else?  If it's a replacement how are you supposed to embed it in the lead?  Thanks.

You must be referring to a screw lock.  Your chances of breaking it are slim.  If it is molded into the head then you can not replace it.

What brand shaky head are you referring to? There are so many options, it'd be helpful for us to know exactly what you are referencing. I've never seen a separate spring supplied with a shaky head but they are always coming up with something new.

I know Reaction Tackle ones come with a separate CPS even though the mounted spring is just a coil...no centering pin. I still use them cause they're relatively inexpensive for tungsten.

It's from Reaction Tackle via Amazon.  Pic attached.

I’d say it’s a replacement that would attach to the hook eye in the event the embedded one breaks, such as a belly weighted hook does.
