Featured Replies

I have 2 Bass Pro casting reels that work just fine. But should I ever need parts for them, where do I look?

I sent an older model pro qualifier spinning reel to BPS’s service center and I was really pleased with the service. They even sent a 1/2 of a spare frame.IMG_3040.jpeg.03744558800f68252b95daec818945d6.jpegIMG_0333.jpeg.bbdb00e82fea97335e0ad1b936cc1c0d.jpegIMG_0863.jpeg.cf9647ffeeedd9d36a0d43f435037163.jpeg

Bass Pro service center has been very generous over the years.

I ordered parts and an extra spool for a Johnny Morris reel and when I opened the package I saw 4 spare spools! And I ordered 3 drag washers and received 6.

So if you are really nice to them, they return it. I am also very pleased with Bass Pro service center.

"If you would like to order parts directly from us, you can call us at (417) 873-5274 Mon.-Fri. 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m."

I never ordered parts online. Always seems best to give them a call. They go out of their way to be helpful.

I sent BPS a Lew's reel to be worked on. They called me and said they did not have parts for it. They asked if I would accept a very comparable refurbished JM Carbonlite reel for $50. I said yes and they sent it. It was nearly identical to the Lew's I sent them except for color.

Thanks all. I didn't know that BPS offered a repair shop.

Although I believe you said you don’t have a BPS close by if you bring it in they have you fill out a service card and they take care of shipping it to the service center for you and at least for my experience the reel technician called me prior to starting the work which was above and beyond my expectations.

Thanks Eric. I don't have one real close, about 60 miles or so. I don't make it up there a whole lot.

The reel repairs are done at the warehouse on Kearney street in north Springfield.  A lot of it used to be done at the Catalog Outlet store but the guys (Walt and Bob) who did the work have left and haven’t been replaced.
