On The Board For 2026

Featured Replies

4 lbs on a split shot rigged stickbait from a local playground pond. One bite, one fish. Been tough fishing with this cold front hanging in there. I reduced the photo as much as I could and it still wouldn’t let me add it. Ridiculous. 🙄

I have emailed the pictures to myself and gmail resized to medium or large will work to post pictures.

Or ask anyone under 40 to help.

What I’ve done easily on my phone is just screenshot and crop to what I actually need and then it lets me add them.

Do what Katie said.

If I'm in public, I do not hesitate to ask young strangers to help me do something new on my phone. They're always happy to help and always know what to do.

That's what I did. I've cropped it as much as I can. I guess I need to catch smaller fish!

I work with my photos in three different systems (Google phone, Chromebook, and a desktop), but in all three, there's a rescale option at the top of the photo. I click on that. On my Chromebook, it's a square. When I open it, there are two numbers, both in the thousands (width and length). I reduce one of those numbers by entering a smaller number. When I do, the other number also proportionately reduces. Then I save that reduced version of the photo. Your system will give you that option. Take it.

Sometimes I didn't reduce it enough and it'll still be over 1 Mb. No biggie. I just reduce it some more. Sometimes I reduced it too much and the photo will be tiny and grainy. No biggie. I just don't reduce it as much. A width of 600-800 usually works for me.

This process takes 30 seconds or less.

Congrats on your catch! The splitshot rig rarely fails.

As for posting photos, we have a sticky post about that:

Yeah I had to get this app called image size which reduces it for my last one cropping didn’t work.

Thanks for the tips. I will investigate further. For the time being just imagine what a 4 lb bass looks like.  🤣

When I call my son for help he answers Tech support, how can I help.

It's not cropping you have to resize the pixels. send to yourself and click small or media if emailing from Iphone. If uploading from Iphone there are usally some dots or a bar menu, click there before selecting the pic and it will allow you to upload compressed not full size. another method is if you have windows 11 and the photo is on the pc open the general pic editor and resize. pick something like 1050x1400 should get the size right.

Anyway here is my first couple from the new year.
