Thanks, @Westcoast . I have had the GLX 802 for a couple months now and absolutely love it. The grass here now calls for 1/8 on my t-rigs and it has been a joy to fish with. It handles 1/16 and weightless well, also.

Per my concerns above about controlling big fish, I think I've got past that. I've landed up to 7# now with it without losing anymore big ones.

I am perpetually on the search for the perfect light texas rig rod. I own the Falcon Lowrider Finesse Jig rod, but lately have been using a Diawa Tatula "Moving Baits" model. It is described as a square bill and top water rod, but I like it very well for light texas rig. I like throwing trick worms, small craws, baby brush hogs, and lizards on it, and it does that well.

It is rated Medium Mod-Fast, so it may be too whippy for some. Diawa also makes a "Light Texas Rig" version. It is the same rod but with a fast action tip. I think it would be an excellent, excellent choice.

I’ve been using a Dobyns Champ Extreme 703 for those exact applications. Caught my PB smallie just a couple days ago dragging a 1/4oz microjig with a baby dbomb trailer. Works great for lighter TRigs & weightless senkos as well. Nice rod

Old NRX 853 (probably 852 in NRX+) if I had to dedicate a rod.

Casts lousy, doesn't love to go above like a 3/8 oz Keitech, but hoooly crap is it sensitive.
