Go to baits always on the deck?

The following are always on my deck (with a bit of variation):

Jig (often two with one black/blue and one natural colored, finesse jig in colder times)

Ned rig

Senko (often a 6 inch, but a 5 inch when bite is tougher - T-rigged or wacky)

T-rig (can be worm, tube, finesse worm, craw, or creature)

Moving bait (varies according to lake, weather, and wind - spinnerbait, crankbait, lipless CB, bladed jig, jerkbait - Often multiple rods with these)

Speaking for myself whatever I tie on will be wrong 50% of the time. The problem comes when you are hardheaded and continue to force baits that are not catching fish. I'm speaking from experience.

  • Depends on whether I'm targeting smallmouth or largemouth. Year round, regardless of season, I will always have these on deck: Largemouth: Spinnerbait Jig Senko Some kind of T-rigged plastic creatur

What I have on the deck usually depends on the water temperature.

Berkeley power swimmer

3.3 to 3.8 or a Rapala Mooch minnow

Crank bait square bill or Rebel crawfish or a Berkeley slobberKnocker for covering water.

Jig of some kind with a trailer or a tube 2.5 or 3.5”

A-Jay Special (weedless jig w/Rage Craw trailer- fish like a jig, swim jig or T-rig)

Bladed jig w/Rage Menace trailer

Spinnerbait w/paddletail swimbait trailer)
